It is the mission of this program is to prepare students for a successful career in the Industrial machinery maintenance field by providing high quality academic and technical instruction.
Millwrights are highly skilled workers who maintain and repair machinery in a plant or factory. Millwrights use technical manuals, their observations skills and their understanding of equipment operations to troubleshoot the cause of a problem.
Millwrights use tools, computers, test equipment and machines to calibrate, program, install, repair and make parts to repair and service machines.
National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER)
The State of Florida requires students to meet a basic skills requirement prior to program completion. The basic skills grade levels for this program are: Mathematics 9.0, Language 9.0, Reading 9.0
Also, good color vision, manual dexterity and mechanical aptitude are essential. Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
The typical length of this program for the average achieving student is 1350 hours.

Earning vary by industry however the Florida Department of Labor reports the range of wages that can be reasonably expected are $20,500 to $52,920 with the average between $31,740 and $48,920.
A student must have passed all required courses in the program, attend at least eighty-five percent (85%) of the class hours offered and satisfied all financial obligations before he/she is eligible to receive a certificate of completion for the program.
